Important Dates

CFI Students, check out the list of important dates that show when CFI will be closed for various holidays as well as when new classes start. Our yearly calendar can be found here.

Financial Planning

Don't let finances get in the way of your dream. There is a financial aid program to suit almost every need. We're here to make this process easy to understand and as stress free as possible for you. We offer Federal Financial Aid Programs: student loans and PELL Grants for those who qualify. We are also approved for Veterans Administration training benefits. CFI is a FAPSC School.

Special Note: Students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States are not eligible for federal financial aid.

Each campus has a Financial Staff who will work with you to clarify scholarship opportunities, help with required paperwork, and make sure you get the maximum assistance for which you qualify.

Federal Pell Grant - The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant where the funds are provided by the federal government. Unlike student loans, the Pell Grant does not need to be repaid.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant - (FSEOG) Awarded to the students with the highest financial need beginning with Pell Grant recipients.

Federal Stafford Loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized, Not Credit Based) - These loans are low interest loans that must be paid back to the lender by the borrower.

Federal Plus Loans - The Federal Plus Loan Program allows parents to help dependant students fund their education with low interest loans which must be paid back to the lender.

MAST - Medical Assistant Success Team

MAST is an organization that is run by 4th and 5th term Medical Assistant students who know what it takes to succeed. They have found that delicate balance between having a life outside of the classroom while still dedicating themselves to their studies and maintaining their grades. These students have found that attitude is everything, and in doing so, they have made themselves successful. The members of MAST share their success with other Medical Assistant students in order that they might also be successful. They know that it is easier to have someone to work with and share with than it is to go-it-alone.

  • Hints from a peer on how to study more effectively
  • Tutoring from a peer, rather than an instructor
  • A peer to talk to about those things outside of the classroom that are affecting school
